Friends of Iron Hill Park Home Page

After serving as a site for iron mining the 335 acres that are now Iron Hill Park grew into a beautiful natural and wooded area.  The Friends of Iron Hill Park was established in March of 2008 and comprises of neighborhood residents who share a passion for the park and are willing to volunteer their time to work in partnership with New Castle County to advance positive family activities within the park.  The Friends are committed to encouraging local participation in park activities by promoting projects, programs, and educational opportunities geared toward meeting the growing demand for outdoor recreation and natural resource protection, while at the same time maintaining Iron Hill Park as a scenic natural area.

The Park is located off Whitaker Road near the intersection with Old Baltimore Pike, in south Newark, Delaware, 19702.
